Michelle Parker is a leading global female outdoor athlete and activist. Hailing from Truckee, California and calling Squaw Valley her home mountain, skiing has always found itself at the center of Michelle’s life. She’s carried her positive influence and endless energy with her every step of the way.
The Mill is filled with straight-shooting, hard-working Vermonters. Bringing in outsiders can be a test. It didn’t take long for Michelle to pass. This moment with Jimmy; our lead technician and a 20-year loyal Darn Tougher, was a special one. Simply put, she’s one of us.
Beyond being a talented athlete, Parker also co-founded S.A.F.E A.S. (Skiers Advocating and Fostering Education for Avalanche and Snow Safety), a women-geared organization that holds safety and awareness clinics about avalanches. She continues to lead the way for the next generation of female skiers and beyond. Parker and Darn Tough share many passions, including an unwavering commitment to community and proudly supporting local and national organizations that make a difference.
