Can I return or exchange my order?

In the unlikely event that you're not thrilled with your purchase from, please start your return or exchange. We offer free return shipping on returns and exchanges for 90 days from your date of purchase.

If you purchased your Darn Tough Vermont socks elsewhere, or it's been more than 90 days since your purchase, we’ve got you covered by our Lifetime Guarantee.

How does your order exchange and return process work?

When you file a return or exchange with us online, you should see an instant exchange voucher after you submit the form. This code is valid immediately with the full value of the sock pairs that you are returning. You can use it at checkout in the “gift card/discount code” field. There's no need to wait for us to receive your socks back at our facility before using your exchange credit.

No worries if you'd prefer a refund, we will process a refund back to your original payment method once we receive and process your return here in Vermont.

There are some cases where the instant credit will not match the return value when a discount or credit had been used on the order.

I want to return my socks. What should I ship them in?

You can use the same bag or box your socks arrived in to ship them back. If you originally opened our black shipping bag along the perforated line, you will see a secondary seal that you can peal off to re-close the bag. Then just update the shipping information and you're all set.

How can I return or exchange socks that were given to me as a gift?

If you were gifted socks purchased through, you can start an exchange with your order number by clicking here.

If you received socks purchased from one of our dealers, you may eligible for a return or exchange through their store. If not, we’ve got you covered through our warranty program as part of our Unconditional Lifetime Guarantee.

If I used a discount code on my purchase, can I use the same discount on an exchange?
